President

Joe Bobeck has been the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Great Lakes Financial Group, LP since 1993.  Mr. Bobeck graduated Cum Laude from Youngstown State University with a BS in Business Administration.  He continued his graduate studies at YSU, following the passage of his CPA certificate.  Mr. Bobeck worked for the National Accounting Firm, Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Shortly thereafter, he became CFO and Treasurer of Associated Estate Realty Corp, a public REIT. 

He is currently a member of the board of Playhouse Square Foundation, Historic Gateway Neighborhood, Historic Warehouse District and a class participant of the 2002 Leadership Cleveland organization. Mr. Bobeck is also current member of the MBA, NOAA, Ohio Housing Council, Michigan Housing Council and various other boards. 

Chief Financial Officer

Carol Conteen is the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Great Lakes Financial Group. Mrs. Conteen graduated from John Carroll University with a BS in Business Administration and obtained her CPA certificate. Mrs. Conteen joined Great Lakes Financial in 2001 as the accounting manager before being promoted to controller and then to her current position.

Prior to joining Great Lakes Financial, Mrs. Conteen worked for Lytkowski & Co, CPAs as a staff accountant. She then joined Multi-Care Management, a nursing home management company, as an accountant and then as controller. Then she helped start Assisted Living Residences, a chain of nursing home and assisted living facilities, as the controller.

Executive Vice President

Carl Corrado has been with Great Lakes since 1993, joining the company as a mortgage loan underwriter. Carl is currently Executive Vice President and responsible for overseeing the agency underwriting platform. He has been a MAP approved underwriter since September of 2000. Carl was formally the Director of Loan Servicing. Prior to joining Great Lakes he was Assistant Vice President Operations Manager of the Commercial Loan Workout and REO Department at TransOhio Federal Savings Bank, now known as Charter One.

Carl is currently a member of the MBA, FHA / HUD servicing subcommittee and a former member of the Freddie Mac Seller / Servicer, Loan Servicing Advisory Council. He and his wife currently reside in Parma and have two daughters.


Servicing Manager

Valerie Garrity  is the Servicing Manager of Great Lakes Financial Group. Valerie has over fifteen years of real estate experience including management, multifamily development and loan closing. Prior to coming to GLFG as Servicing Manager, Valerie served as a Development Project Manager for the NRP Group focusing on development in Texas. Valerie graduated from Northwood University with a B.A. in Management. Valerie has over fifteen years of real estate experience including management, multifamily development and loan closing. 

Executive Closing Director

Erin K. Witte joined Great Lakes Financial Group in 2010 as Executive Closing Director with more than 7 years experience in the real estate and financial industry. She has extensive experience in the affordable housing industry and has closed over $125 million of various federal, state and local funding sources. In this role, Ms. Witte oversee's the process of all applications submitted and is responsible for all closings at Great Lakes.

Ms. Witte earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Kent State University, and her MPA from Cleveland State University, where she also received a Certification in Non-Profit Management. After college she worked in the legal field as a paralegal and in 2003 joined The NRP Group LLC as a paralegal later becoming the Acquisition and Development Manager overseeing all aspects of financial closings for the company.
