Joseph Bobeck
Chief Executive Officer
Joe Bobeck has been the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Great Lakes Financial Group, LP since 1993. Mr. Bobeck graduated Cum Laude from Youngstown State University with a BS in Business Administration. He continued his graduate studies at YSU, following the passage of his CPA certificate. Mr. Bobeck worked for the National Accounting Firm, Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Shortly thereafter, he became CFO and Treasurer of Associated Estate Realty Corp, a public REIT.
He is currently a member of the board of Playhouse Square Foundation, Historic Gateway Neighborhood, Historic Warehouse District and a class participant of the 2002 Leadership Cleveland organization. Mr. Bobeck is also current member of the MBA, NOAA, Ohio Housing Council, Michigan Housing Council and various other boards.
Allan Rugg
VP of Loan Origination
Mid-Atlantic Region
Allan Rugg heads up the Mid-Alantic Division of the FHA/HUD department at GLFG. He has an admirable multi-family loan origination background as well as an impressive underwriting background. Allan has extensive experience in Real Estate Finance with a strong focus on FHA Multifamily.
Allan began his career in the banking industry as an Assistant Bank Manager at NS&T and then a Corporate Services Officer at Equitable Federal Savings and Loan Association in 1980. He then advanced into underwriting and ultimately transitioned into loan origination in 1985 at Continental Realty Credit, Inc. He was most recently at AmeriSphere as a VP and Loan Originator responsible for the eastern states origination of FHA multi-family construction and permanent mortgage loans.
Paul Olson
VP of Loan Origination
Midwest Region
Paul Olson heads up the Chicago Office of GLFG and is responsible for FHA and Freddie Mac originations and brokerage of debt and equity. Paul has specialties in affordable, senior and student housing, including construction, mezzanine and permanent lending and low income, historic and new markets tax credit equity and joint venture equity.
Paul began his career in real estate finance with The Sumitomo Bank and completed stints with Banc of America Securities, Heller Financial, MMA Financial and Olson Financial Resources. Paul has an MBA in Finance from The University of Chicago and a BA in History and Japanese from Carleton College.
Carlos Molina
Vp of Loan Origination
Southeast Region
On January 5th, 2011. Carlos Molina was brought on to develop the growth of Great Lakes Financial Groups Southeast Regions Office. Prior to joining Great Lakes Financial Group, Carlos Molina managed the opening of the Northern Ohio commercial real estate region for a Pittsburgh based bank. He served as the Senior Vice President and Regional Manager. The Northern Ohio Region generated annual loan
funding in excess of $100 million.
Mr. Molina has also served as Senior Vice President and Regional Manager in Ohio for a large Chicago headquartered bank. This Cleveland based commercial real estate region, consisted of approximately $525 million in loan commitments and $400million in loan principal outstanding. This represented a portfolio loan growth in excess of 30%.
Previous experience included managing the Northern Ohio commercial real estate region for a major national bank, primary markets included: Cleveland, Akron, Canton and Youngstown. During his management this Northern Ohio region grew from $30million in loan commitments to approximately $900 million in loan commitments and $675million in principal outstanding. This represented a portfolio loan growth in excess of 30%.
During his tenure at the major national bank, he also managed the Central Ohio commercial real estate region based in Columbus, Ohio. This portfolio grew from $75 million in loan commitments to $400 million in the five (5) years he managed the Central Ohio market.
His experience in commercial real estate financing has involved the construction, refinancing and acquisition of: multi-family, retail, office, office/warehouse, student housing, lodging, industrial, health care and self-storage assets.
Carlos Molina is a graduate of Saint Louis University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major
in finance.
